Q: Why do I have to vacate my unit?
A: Our engineering consultants have determined that the building is no longer safe to occupy, and for your safety, all Residents must seek alternative accommodation immediately.

Q: What does frustrated contract mean?
A: Under the laws of the Residential Tenancy Act [SBC 2002] Ch. 78 and Frustrated Contract Act [RSBC 1996] Ch. 166, both parties to the contract are relieved from fulfilling their obligations under the contract. This means that your current contract with Centurion Properties Associates Inc. has been terminated as of April 24th, 2023.

Q: Will I receive any assistance with my temporary accommodation expenses?
A: Contact your tenant insurance provider as parts of your expenses for temporary accommodation and other expenses may be covered by your policy. If you require assistance, please reach out to a member of our team at [email protected].
Additionally, Centurion will provide each unit with $1,000.00 payable to the leaseholder via cheque or direct deposit as a gesture of compassionate assistance. Direct deposits have been processed today for Residents who have banking information on file. Cheques are being couriered to the Regional Office, and Residents will be able to pick them up within the coming days. To arrange a pickup time and date, please contact [email protected].

Q: Will I receive any reimbursement for my rent and deposits?
A: Yes, all Residents will be reimbursed for their rent between the dates of April 24th-30th, 2023, and any prepaid rents. All damage and pet deposits will also be returned.


Q: Is Centurion providing any assistance with relocation?
A: Yes, Centurion has multiple buildings in the Langford and Victoria Area and can help assist in relocating you to one of our other buildings with similar accommodation, subject to availability. Q: When will Residents be allowed to retrieve their belongings from the building?
A: The option of temporary shoring of the garage area is currently being reviewed with the engineers to provide Residents safe access to come back and retrieve their belongings. Future communication in this regard will be sent out accordingly. Once it is deemed safe to do so, Residents will be invited back to move out their belongings.

 
Q: When will the work be completed?
 
A: At this time, Centurion has no specific update of when work will be completed. We are still collecting information from the engineers for review, and there are no firm timelines available. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

 
Q: Will you be providing assistance with moving?
A: Yes, Centurion has moving services on site to assist Residents with moving light items on Monday April 24th until 8pm, Tuesday April 25th from 9am to 5pm PDT, and Wednesday April 26th from 9am to 5pm PDT,. For Residents who require additional assistance or have unique requirements, including pets, please contact [email protected]. Our Customer Care is available to assist with all other matters until 8:00pm PDT via 1-844-830-5736.

 
Q. Where can I pick up my mail?
A. Your mail can be picked up 849 Station Ave, Victoria, BC V9B 2S2, Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am – 5pm.
